1. Summary
Doopl creates custom AI videos from material you provide or choose. We collect what we need to take payment, run your account, make and deliver your videos, keep the service secure, and meet legal and dispute-handling obligations. Your uploads and finished videos are private and never published automatically. We don't sell your private videos or images.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and account details: email address and name, if given.
- Uploads: source videos and character reference images. These may show faces, bodies or voices, including those of other people.
- Choices: the library characters, trending templates, video lengths and quantities you pick.
- Support messages: emails and any attachments you send us.
Information created when you use Doopl
- Purchases: order details, price snapshots, quantities and Stripe checkout and payment identifiers. Stripe handles card details. We don't receive or store full card numbers.
- Consent records: the Terms, Privacy and Cookie Policy versions you accepted, with the time, IP address and browser details (user agent).
- AI output: the videos generated for you.
- Activity: submissions, generation attempts and results, delivery events, and actual download events. We record whether a video was made available and whether it was downloaded.
- Security and sign-in: sign-in link requests and verifications, session details, IP address, device and browser information, and abuse prevention signals.
- Email activity: for emails we send, our email provider (SendGrid) records delivery events such as accepted, delivered, bounced or blocked. Open and click tracking are currently turned off. See section 8.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy.
Information from others
- Stripe gives us payment status and dispute information.
- If Google sign-in is enabled for existing paid accounts, Google shares basic account details such as your email address.
3. How we use information
- To process purchases and create your account after Stripe confirms payment.
- To send sign-in links and verify your identity.
- To turn your uploads into the videos you request. We only use your media for the transformations you ask for, and for related operations such as storage, delivery, troubleshooting and moderation.
- To deliver videos to My videos and send service emails such as receipts, status updates and ready notices.
- To respond to support requests.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, prohibited content and security incidents.
- To keep tamper-evident records for disputes, chargebacks and legal compliance.
- To send marketing email only if you've agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Where implemented and permitted, to understand how the service is used in aggregate and improve it.
We don't use your uploads to build a library of faces. We also don't use your private videos to market Doopl.
4. AI providers and training
Your source media and character image are sent to our video generation provider, currently Seedance 2.5 through reAPI, to make your video. Doopl does not use your uploads to train its own AI models. Third-party providers process data under their own terms, including their data-use and retention terms. We do not promise that downstream providers never access, retain or use media for training.
OpenAI is used for shared library character generation, rather than for generating videos from customer uploads.
5. Who receives information
We share personal information only as needed to run Doopl, and with service providers working for us:
| Category | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Payments | Stripe | Checkout, payment processing, fraud checks, disputes |
| Sign-in, database, private storage | Supabase | Authentication, records, private file storage |
| Video generation | reAPI / Seedance 2.5 | Creating your requested video |
| Background processing | Railway | Running the video generation worker |
| Library image generation | OpenAI | Creating library characters (not customer uploads) |
| SendGrid | Sign-in, transactional and opt-in marketing email, and delivery events | |
| Network and domain | Cloudflare | DNS, security and delivery of the site |
| App hosting | Our hosting and deployment provider | Running the website |
We may also share information:
- when the law, legal process or a valid government request requires it;
- to protect rights, safety and security, including reporting child sexual abuse material;
- with professional advisers, under a duty of confidentiality;
- as part of a merger, acquisition or asset transfer, subject to this Policy.
We don't sell customer videos or images.
6. Other people in your content
If your uploads show other people, you must have their consent and the authority to share their likeness and voice with us. People who think they appear in Doopl content without consent can contact privacy@doopl.ai.
7. Storage, security and retention
- Uploads and finished videos are kept in private storage. Access is limited, and downloads use short-lived signed links where that is enabled.
- We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. If you think there's a security issue, email privacy@doopl.ai.
- Retention and availability:
- Source uploads: deletion after fulfillment is a planned safeguard, not an already operational automated feature. Source material may be retained for service operations, troubleshooting, disputes or legal holds.
- Finished videos: available to play and download in My videos for 90 days after they are ready; download access then ends. Removal of the stored file after that period is a planned safeguard, not yet an automated feature.
- Purchase, consent, delivery and audit records: kept as long as needed for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention and dispute purposes.
- Email delivery and tracking data: retained as needed for delivery operations, security and dispute handling.
- We may keep information longer when legal holds, disputes or law require it.
8. Email tracking and marketing
Our emails are sent through SendGrid, which records delivery events. We currently turn off SendGrid open and click tracking on every email we send, so links go straight to doopl.ai. We will update this Policy before turning either on.
- Marketing: will be sent only with consent, from updates.doopl.ai, with an unsubscribe link. Marketing sending remains disabled until consent, suppression and unsubscribe controls are implemented.
- Service emails: these come from notify.doopl.ai. Opting out of marketing doesn't stop sign-in, receipt or order emails.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information. You may also be able to opt out of certain processing, such as targeted advertising or "sale"/"sharing" as defined by law, and to appeal our decision. These rights include those under applicable US state privacy laws where they apply.
- Send requests to privacy@doopl.ai from the email linked to your account.
- To protect your account, we'll verify your request. You can use an authorized agent where the law allows.
- We won't discriminate against you for using your rights.
- Some data may be kept where the law allows, such as payment and dispute records.
10. Children
Doopl isn't for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, contact privacy@doopl.ai.
11. International users
Doopl is operated from the United States. Our providers may process information in the US and other countries.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy. Each version has a version number and an effective date. For material changes, we'll give notice as required.
