1. Who we are
Doopl is a service operated by Build Something Co. ("Doopl", "we", "us"). In these Terms, "you" means the person who uses Doopl or buys from it. If you use Doopl for a business, you confirm you can bind that business to these Terms.
2. Accepting these Terms
You accept these Terms when you use Doopl or, when checkout is activated, check the consent box and complete a purchase. At checkout, we will record the Terms, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy versions in effect, plus the time, IP address and browser details. If you don't agree, don't use Doopl.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You can't use Doopl if applicable law prohibits it.
4. What Doopl does
Doopl creates custom AI-generated videos. It takes the motion in a source video and applies a selected character to it. You can use either:
- a video you upload, plus a character image you upload or a character from the Doopl library; or
- a trending template published by an authorized Doopl admin, plus your own character image or a library character.
AI generation is done by a third-party model provider. Right now that is Seedance 2.5, accessed through reAPI. Characters in the library may be made with OpenAI image generation.
5. Purchases and pricing
When you make a purchase, the terms in this section apply to that purchase.
- You buy videos, not credits or subscriptions. Each purchase covers a set number of videos. Each video you buy gives you one fulfillment slot. There are no subscriptions, credit packs, wallets or automatic renewals.
- Current prices: $19 per video up to 15 seconds and $29 per video up to 30 seconds. You can mix both lengths in one order. Prices may change. Checkout shows the current price, the quantity and the number of slots before you pay, and the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
- Payment: Stripe processes payments. Doopl does not receive or store full card numbers.
- Taxes: Doopl checkout does not currently add sales tax or similar taxes. That does not mean any purchase is tax-exempt. Taxes depend on applicable law, and you remain responsible for any taxes that law makes your responsibility.
- When a purchase counts: A purchase is complete only after Stripe confirms the payment to us. Returning to our site after checkout does not prove payment.
6. Accounts and sign-in
- Your account is created only after Stripe confirms your payment. Doopl has no free or unpaid sign-up.
- You claim and open your account by verifying the email used for your purchase. Returning customers sign in with a one-time email link and no password.
- Google sign-in may be offered as an optional sign-in method for existing paid accounts once it is enabled.
- Keep access to your email account secure. You are responsible for activity on your Doopl account. Tell us right away at privacy@doopl.ai if you think someone has accessed it without permission.
7. Your content and your rights
"Your Content" means videos, images and other material you upload or submit.
- You must have the rights. You confirm that you own Your Content or have every permission needed, including consent from every identifiable person shown or heard in it. That includes their likeness, face, body and voice, for both the source video and the character.
- Ownership stays with you. You keep whatever rights you already have in Your Content.
- License to us. You give Build Something Co. a temporary, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, process and send Your Content, including to our service providers. This license is only for providing the service you requested, running and securing Doopl, keeping legally required records and handling disputes. It does not let us publish Your Content or use it to market Doopl.
- Nothing becomes public automatically. Your uploads and generated videos are private to your account. We do not publish them.
8. Prohibited uses
You may not use Doopl to create, upload or share content that:
- impersonates a real person without consent, or is a non-consensual deepfake or intimate image;
- sexualizes or exploits minors in any way. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities as required by law;
- harasses, threatens, defames, bullies or incites violence against anyone;
- infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy or other rights;
- creates a false or misleading endorsement, or suggests a person or brand approved something when they didn't;
- is used for fraud, election manipulation, scams or deceiving people about real events;
- is otherwise unlawful.
You also may not misuse the service. That includes reverse-engineering it, getting around security, rate limits or payment, scraping, overloading the system, reselling access without permission, or using bots to make purchases or submissions.
We may refuse, stop or remove a generation that we reasonably think breaks these rules. Refusal for these reasons does not create a right to a refund, except where the law requires one.
9. Generated output
- AI has limits. Generated videos may not exactly match the source motion, timing, framing or character look. We don't promise that output is unique, error-free, a certain quality, or suitable for any particular purpose.
- Ownership of output. As between you and us, we claim no ownership of the videos generated for you. Rights in AI-generated material can be uncertain and differ by country, and third-party model provider terms may also apply. We don't guarantee you will have exclusive or enforceable intellectual property rights in the output.
- Library characters and templates. Library characters and trending templates are provided for making your personal video in Doopl. These Terms don't give you broader rights to any third-party trend, music, footage or brand that appears in or inspired a template.
- Your responsibility when you use output. You're responsible for how you use output. If you use it in ads or sponsored content, you must comply with advertising and endorsement rules, including FTC disclosure requirements. You also must not present AI-generated people as real endorsers.
10. Delivery
- We start fulfillment only after payment is confirmed and your submission is complete.
- Finished videos are delivered privately to My videos in your account. We may also email you when a video is ready.
- Turnaround: We don't guarantee a delivery time. Generation time depends on demand and provider capacity.
- Availability: Finished videos can be played and downloaded from My videos for 90 days after they are ready. After that, download access ends. Download your videos promptly and keep your own copies.
- If a generation fails for technical reasons, we may retry it or ask you to resubmit. We avoid charging twice for the same paid slot.
11. Final sale and remedies
Each video is custom digital content made to your request. Generation uses paid computing resources that can't be recovered once it starts.
Final sale: Videos that are successfully generated and delivered are final sale. We don't give refunds for change of mind, or for subjective dissatisfaction with style or result, after successful delivery.
Exceptions. This rule doesn't apply to, and we will make it right, in these cases:
- a refund or remedy required by applicable law;
- an incorrect or duplicate charge;
- a paid video that we fail to deliver and can't reasonably fix by retrying or regenerating;
- fraud or an unauthorized charge, subject to verification.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived. This section covers refunds and remedies.
How to ask for help: Email privacy@doopl.ai with your order email and a description of the problem. Please contact us before filing a dispute with your bank. Most problems can be fixed faster directly.
12. Payment disputes and records
We keep records of purchases, consent, submissions, generation attempts, deliveries and downloads, plus related support messages. We use them to provide the service, prevent fraud and respond to payment disputes. Doopl staff review any dispute response before it is sent to Stripe. See the Privacy Policy for details.
13. Email notices
You agree we can send you service messages electronically. These include sign-in links, receipts, order and delivery updates, and important notices. They aren't marketing, and you can't opt out of them while you have an account or open order. We send marketing email only with permission, and every marketing email lets you unsubscribe.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access if you break these Terms, create legal risk, commit fraud or abuse the service. Where reasonable and allowed, we will tell you. You can stop using Doopl at any time and ask us to delete your account under the Privacy Policy. Sections that should logically survive will remain in effect after termination, including content rights, prohibited-use responsibility, disclaimers, liability limits and disputes.
15. Third-party services
Doopl relies on third-party providers, including Stripe, Supabase, reAPI/Seedance, OpenAI, SendGrid, Railway and Cloudflare. Their availability is outside our full control. Your use of Stripe checkout may also be covered by Stripe's terms.
16. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, Doopl is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions don't allow some disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
17. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Build Something Co. won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Doopl is limited to the amount you paid us for the order the claim relates to. This doesn't limit liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for fraud.
18. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and compensate Build Something Co. for third-party claims arising from Your Content, your use of output, or your violation of these Terms or of others' rights.
19. Disputes and governing law
Please contact privacy@doopl.ai first. We'll try to resolve the issue informally within a reasonable period.
These Terms do not specify an exclusive court venue, arbitration clause or class action waiver. Applicable law and non-waivable consumer rights govern where required.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Each version has a version number and an effective date, and we keep a record of which version you accepted. For material changes, we'll give reasonable notice, for example by email or on the site. Orders are governed by the version you accepted at checkout, unless the law requires otherwise.
21. Other terms
These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the full agreement between you and us about Doopl. If any part can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, that isn't a waiver. You can't transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a business transfer.
